Founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and recognized by Sister Cities International, MANI exists to nurture and grow the formal sister city relationship between Milwaukee and Abuja, Nigeria.
From handshake to lasting friendship.
Milwaukee Action Network, Inc. was formed by a coalition of civic leaders, educators, and members of Milwaukee's Nigerian diaspora who believed that two cities, an ocean apart, could share a future together.
Today, MANI is the official steward of the Milwaukee–Abuja sister city relationship. We coordinate delegations, host community events, and serve as the bridge between the two municipal governments, schools, and cultural institutions.
Our work is grounded in respect, reciprocity, and the belief that genuine friendship between cities begins with genuine friendship between people.
